Falling Hunter: Shia LaBeouf FanFic Chapter 7 (2024)

Looking away from Shia as he undressed was hard in its own right. I'd only seen his most recent pictures without a shirt, and I was awfully curious what it would be like up close and in person, but I didn't dare let him see me staring. Instead, I sat down and stared at the small patch of blue sky ahead. I had no idea what time it was, and that bothered me. How long did we have? I glanced at Shia, who was now out of his soggy, sandy jeans and shirtless. I blushed and looked away, but then, of course, I looked back to survey what he had been wearing underneath.

I laughed out loud at the sight of bright red boxer briefs with little black hearts. Startled, Shia turned towards me and held his jeans in front of his waist.

"Cute," I commented, still eyeing his underwear.

"Shut up!" Shia said before plunging into the water, jeans in hand. I laughed again and got up to follow. His back was turned to me, and I saw that he had a paw print tattoo on his left shoulder blade. I had no idea what kind of animal it was, but it was still pretty cool. He was in waist-deep water and was vigorously scrubbing at his jeans, trying to get the dried muck off. The water around him turned tan, the sand seemingly melting off his jeans.

"Here," I said, holding a type of bull rush out to him. The end was kind of like cattail and sturdy enough to work as a make-shift brush.

He turned to me, and the look on his face was daring me to laugh. I smiled and handed him the plant, trying hard not to stare. So, the gossip was true. His pictures had not lied. He was solid, and I was sure fat didn't exist on his body. I turned my gaze away and focused on our surroundings.

Shia dove under the water and went to the middle of the pond, thoroughly enjoying himself.

"You should come in! The water is great!" Shia called before diving under again and surfacing five feet away from where he'd dived.

"No suit and I'm not coming in with all these clothes on," I protested.

"Well, take some of them off then," Shia said, diving again.

Yeah, let me get right to that! I thought.

"What are you afraid of?" Shia asked when he surfaced. He swam towards me and gave me puppy eyes. I'd only seen him do that twice before, but not in real life.

"I'm just not comfortable, that's all," I admitted, looking away. I let my hair fall on the left side of my face, a curtain between him and myself. I wasn't about to admit that I was extremely self-conscious and hated my body. Plus, I didn't remember what I was wearing beneath my clothes.

"What am I going to do? Laugh at you? You've known me for what, a couple of days or more. Why would I do that?" He asked. Honestly, I'd known him a lot longer than that. I'd practically watched him grow up on the screen. Yes, he could be mean like that. I also knew he could be a perv on and off the set. So, what was I to do?

"Ok, fine. I'll get it, but no looking until I do, ok?" I asked him in a stern voice. "No problem, and he dove back under again, surfacing elsewhere.

I took off my shoes and slowly slid off my jeans. It looked like I was wearing my favorite underwear set, but I wasn't sure. I folded my jeans and put them right beside the bank. My shirt came off all too hesitantly, and I made sure that he wasn't looking. Thank the Heavens, I thought. Both articles of clothing matched, and I waded into the water quickly before he changed his mind about not looking.

The water was warm and felt like floating on a cloud.

"Are you in yet?" Shia called.

"Yeah," I answered, swimming to him. He turned and swam toward me, smiling. I ducked under the water, suddenly afraid...Maybe this was a mistake? I asked myself. No, no mistake, he doesn't care. When I surfaced and took a deep breath, Shia was doing backward laps around the pond.

We swam for a while, telling jokes, but mainly Shia spoke. I was too busy keeping myself under the water and laughing at him doing belly flops and acting like a kid. Of course, deep down, I realized that's all Shia was, a kid. The sky above us began to darken, and Shia's jeans had dried out by that time. He let me get out first, and not caring I pulled my clothes over my wet undergarments. There was no way I would lay around, uncovered, to wait for them to dry. Shia did the same, and as we packed up to leave, we started talking about ourselves again.

"Your favorite food is Mexican, huh?" I asked him.

"That's what the gossipers think. I like Chinese," Shia said with a wink.

"Seriously? Me too!" I exclaimed, thrilled to know something that others may not have known.

"Really? It's nice to find a fellow sympathizer. My last girlfriend hated Chinese. She never let me eat it, and that's how I came across eating Mexican so much. I admit Mexican food is great, but Chinese is better. When we broke up, I went back to Chinese only secretly, I guess. It's still like she's watching me," Shia said as we were just getting ready to leave.

"So, do you have a girlfriend now?" I asked.

"Nope. I've been single since then. I've been so damn busy with everything, court dates, and movie shoots, life...just no time, I guess." Shia answered. The great veil of anticipation lifted, and I felt strangely relieved...it wouldn't have mattered if he was single or not anyways. I mean, seriously, he was this great movie star, and me, well...I was just ... me.

Suddenly, shouts, way louder than before, penetrated our calm conversation bubble. Shia's face contorted into that of fear, and he grabbed my arm gently and led me down the path to our doom.
