This is a collection of all my favourite pressure king pro recipes. From one pot pastas to curries to tacos, there's all kinds of delicious recipes here, all made extra quick thanks to the pressure king pro.
The pressure king pro works like any other pressure cooker or instant pot. It fills with pressurised steam which cooks thing super quickly and keeps in loads of flavour and healthy nutrients.
Since getting my pressure king pro I've tried cooking loads of different recipes in it and have completely fallen in love with the quick cooking and all the flavour it keeps locked into food. Keep scrolling to find my favourite pressure king pro recipes.
The pressure king pro has 12 different settings for cooking: Meat, Rice, Stew, Soup, Pasta, Fish, Steam, Browning, Fast Re-heat, Keep Warm/Slow Cook and Delay Timer.
Tips for cooking with the pressure king pro
Pressure cooking is great for cooking big batches of food. I love to use it for making a big meal on a Monday night and then I've got it for lunches and dinners throughout the week
The 'Keep Warm' function also acts as a slow cooker option so you can get rid of another gadget!
My favourite thing about the pressure king pro is the delay function. It means that I can get everything ready in the pressure cooker and then delay cooking so that it's ready for when I get home from work
Why would you use a pressure cooker?
As I mentioned above, the pressure cooker cooks things much more quickly than traditional cooking methods. It also helps lock moisture into the food which gives amazing texture and makes sure meat gets super tender.
How long does it take to cook meat in the pressure cooker?
That really depends on what meat you're trying to cook. I've cooked chicken in the pressure cooker and I like to use the browning function first and then cook under pressure for 5 minutes and it comes out perfectly.
Larger joints of meat can take longer but will still take much less than in the oven, about 45-60 minutes. See below for some of my favourite meat recipes in the pressure cooker.

In fact, it's water that helps generate the high-pressure environment that makes your food cook faster. Most pressure cooker instructions state a minimum amount of water required for pressure cooking even a tiny amount of food.
The lifespan of your pressure cooker is going to vary based on its brand and usage. If you're using your pressure cooker on a daily basis and investing in regular maintenance, it may last you up to five years. On average, though, most pressure cookers perform well for up to three years.
It is safe to cook frozen food in a pressure cooker because it uses pressure to move food through the "Danger Zone" quickly. As a result, you don't run into the issues that you would find by cooking frozen food in a slow cooker, where it can stay too long in the Danger Zone and could become unsafe.
Overfilling your Instant Pot can affect the pressure that builds up inside, so you might end up with a mushy meal, or one that doesn't cook properly. Also, an overly-full Instant Pot can lead to a clogged pressure release knob, because food and liquid can get sucked up inside.
If the rice is only a little sticky, it can be saved. Turn it out into a colander and rinse it under cool water, separating the grains with your fingers. But if it's extra mushy, the best thing to do is start over, make a new batch, and use the overcooked, leftover rice for another purpose.
Unfortunately, once you overcook a piece of meat in the pressure cooker, there's no going back. You'll be left with a pile of dry, crunchy, tasteless fibers and no amount of additional pressure cooking is going to put that moisture back into the meat. Earlier, I explained how ingredient size affects the cooking time.
I like to assume 20 minutes for every pound of meat. So, for my 3-pound beef chuck, I will need to cook at high pressure for 1 hour. After the hour, I release the pressure and shred the tender beef. When the beef is done, you can make our optional gravy.
Overfilling: Adding too much water to a pressure cooker can cause it to become overfilled, exceeding its maximum capacity. This can prevent the cooker from building up enough pressure to cook food properly and may result in leaks or spills.

The Instant Pot remembers your most recent setting for each cooking program for a more personalized experience. To reset to factory default settings of all cooking programs, press Cancel so that the Instant Pot displays Off, then press and hold the Adjust button until it beeps.
SOLUTION: Open the Instant Pot and make sure there's enough liquid. If too much liquid has evaporated, the Instant Pot won't pressurize, so add more liquid if necessary. Close the Instant Pot and resume pressure cooking. If you have trouble closing the lid, move the steam release handle to the VENTING position.
If the Pressure Cooker is not whistling then one should not shake it but check 2 things: Whether there is no leakage of steam from any where else especially where the rubber gasket is there or from the safety valve because in such a case the steam is escaping and food will not get cooked.
